A Note From Steven

Why I Wrote This Book

After my first book, I knew I had more to tell. Most people don't fully understand the undertaking of what correction officers truly go through and carry with them. The Other Side of the Badge looks beyond the uniform at the mental weight, hidden trauma, friendships, family, and years of experiences that can follow an officer long after an incident—or even a career—has ended.
